Confolens  - Medium Size Town

Confolens is nice old French town, slightly deceiving in it's size as there are lots on little backstreets to explore. You will find the usual selection of Bars and restaurants, and decent selection of shops. There are a couple of attractions in Confolens: The Velorail (Great Fun) and on the riverbank you will find a small hut where you can hire out a canoe, Kayak or pedalo. There are also some historic sites to visit like Chateau de St Germain de Confolens, Chateau de Rochebrune, Eglise Saint-Maurice, and lots of other places of interest. Well worth a visit.
